Description:
A portrait of a man depicting Father Andrzej Bokiej, who served as parish priest from 1991 to 2022 in the Parish of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross. The figure is shown seated, upright, with his head slightly turned to the left. He is wearing glasses; his arms hang down, and his hands rest one on top of the other. The man is dressed in a military uniform at the rank of colonel: navy-blue trousers, a white shirt with navy-blue epaulettes, each bearing three stars and two bars. On his head is a navy-blue cap with an eagle emblem on the front; on the side, the same three stars and two bars appear, repeating the epaulette insignia. The background is yellow. Two colours dominate the painting: yellow and navy blue. The artist’s use of strong, clearly defined lines lends the depicted figure a certain solemnity and severity.
In the upper left corner is the inscription: Andrzej Bokiej.
In the lower right corner is the signature: 07.02.2007 / E. DWURNIK.
