From 1708 he was a Count of the Empire during the reign of Emperor Joseph I (1705–1711), as well as the lord of the castles of Chojnik and Gryf, Cieplice, Sobieszów and other estates. He was also the founder of the Chojnik fideicommissum, an imperial and royal treasurer, a privy councillor, the governor and chancellor of the Duchy of Świdnica and Jawor, a hereditary land judge of Świdnica, and a director of the Supreme Office. He was also a Knight of the Order of the Golden Fleece.
